A Note From Our Founder

Hi friends!

I am thrilled to welcome you to The Exfoliation Shop, a labor of love that has been a decade in the making. As the founder of this company, I am excited to share with you the story behind our brand and our mission.

My journey began in the early days of owning and operating my portrait photography studio.  One of my favorite parts of our studio experience was the opportunity to pamper my clients by providing a professional to apply their make-up before the shoot.  

Over the years of observing the process, two things stood out to me:

1. Every woman held her head higher and smiled brighter when she believed she was beautiful.  The make-up didn’t make her more beautiful, it was just a vehicle that helped her recognize her own beauty.

2. Make-up struggles. I began to notice a pattern as even the most experienced make-up artists struggled to apply foundation and lipstick to my clients with dry or flaky skin. This observation sparked my curiosity and led me to explore the basics of exfoliation (and later restoration).

I began creating products in my kitchen and focused on incorporating clean, natural ingredients that would also deliver optimal results.  I shared samples with those around me, handing out little exfoliation kits and scrubbers to friends, family, and makeup artists. After nearly ten years of formulating and tweaking, I am thrilled to share these products with you and to continue expanding our product line carefully and consciously as we grow.

There is nothing more beautiful than a woman who is comfortable in her own skin, and my goal is for every customer to walk away with a newfound confidence in her unique beauty.

This shop is for my mom who was always my biggest cheerleader…especially in any entrepreneurial venture. 

This is for my children…may they know their own beauty, strength and grit. 

This is for every person who struggles with self-image…may you know that you are beautiful and worthy of love and care.
